Mom comes to visit and Easter

Its been a while since I've updated this, and for good reason! Last week my mom came down for a few days! She is on spring break from school so it was nice to have her come and hang out for a few days and help me with Levi while Anthony was at work. It was beautiful weather out, so we got outside some, did some shopping and most importantly we watched the March Madness ball games together!!! :)
And then Easter came on Sunday. We actually did make it to church with Levi, however I spent pretty much the whole sermon back in the nursery with him! It was okay though, it was still fun to be with our church family and celebrate together that Jesus Lives:)
We bought Levi a little UK outfit for Easter. Other than that, the child is too young to know, so we didn't get him a Easter basket or anything. Last night Anthony and I played on the floor with Levi for 30 min. or so and the whole time he would giggle, smile and coo. We had so much fun doing that!
Levi goes next week for his 4 month check-up. He gets his shots:( I am looking forward to seeing how much he weighs and how long he is now!
Since the wildcats lost in the tournament, our family is now cheering on the Mountaineers of West Virginia!! Lets GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Mountaineers!!!!

Palm Sunday

All three of us got up today and made it to church!! This was only our second time at church since Levi's been born, so it was a lot of fun! After church, Anthony watched Levi for me while I got to go shopping. While I was gone, Anthony put together Levi's Johnny Jump Up. As you can see in the pictures, he loved it!! I'm sure it will take some time for him to learn how to do the jumping, but for now, I think he enjoys standing in it and swinging back and forth!

Rain Rain Go Away

As if getting spit up on all over isnt enough. I think today I've changed my shirt just as many times I've had to change Levi's clothes. I sure hope he isnt setting out to break the record today. With it being a rainy day and a sad sad day for UK fans like myself, I was starting to feel pretty depressed. So I did what my mother would be proud of me for doing...got out my camera!!! Even on the worst of days...theres nothing like seeing your baby in just his diaper with a smile on his face! It sure did brighten my day and hopefully it will yours too!

The plan was to leave to head up to my parents house on Sat. morning, however the snow storm made us change our plans!! So at the last min. on Friday, Anthony called off work and we frantically packed all of our crap up (which now takes FOREVER since we pack for Levi too). We got on the road around 2 with the hopes that Levi would sleep on the way up. His normal naptime is about 2-4:30, so we thought we were golden! We couldn't have been more wrong. The child had different plans in mind. Needless to say, it was a LONG trip. We had the backseat all loaded up with bags and such, when 30 min. into the trip, Levi refused to stop screaming. So we pulled off the interstate, which in Kentucky the roads were untouched so we were only able to travel about 45 miles per hr anyway. We pulled off the side of the road and switched all the bags and boxes from the backseat to the front. Meanwhile, my feet sank in the slush and snow on the road and my pants got covered by a passing by semi who was going way too fast. So for the rest of the trip my feet were freezing, I was dealing with a screaming baby and not to mention our german Shepherd pooch Sadie was breathing down my neck from the back of the Envoy. What fun!! Thank the Lord we got through Cincy with no traffic. Then we got about 20 min. from my parents and Levi was hungry, so we pull off at a McDonalds and feed him in the car. The snow continued to pile up. Finally, 3 and a half hours later we made it safely to my parents!
Thus, our trip just began!!!

The trip was well worth it though because we got to see my brother's family from Michigan! That also meant I got to meet my niece Claire for the first time!! She is so sweet and little:) I love her! The house was packed and crazy like always, but this time more so with the 2 newest additions of Claire and Levi. You can feel the love of family though and I wouldnt trade it for the world. If mom and dad could add on to their house, that may not be a bad idea!!! :)

We had a great time at my parents, and were able to celebrate my birthday while we were there too. I turned 25 this year...a quarter of a century!! WOW! We also we able to celebrate Easter with my parents and with my mom's extended family. Levi decided to sleep for the first half of it, so we were late getting there, but once there, it was nice to see everyone! Levi got an Easter bucket filled with goodies and even found 5 eggs (okay, I found them for him)!!

While we had anticipated staying till Wed, Levi once again caused us a change of plans! We headed home on Tuesday so he could get some better sleep. He slept the whole way home (a definite answer to prayer) and once home, he slept a lot better in his own crib too! It's amazing how having a baby changes your life....while trying at times, I would not want it any other way. He has changed my life and I thank God for him!

Dad and Levi at the park!
Taking a break with mom after getting home from the park! Levi was tuckered out!

All 3 of us enjoyed a beautiful day outside today!! It was in the 60's today and we definitley took advantage of it!! This afternoon all 3 of us ventured down to the park with the pooch. Sadie really enjoyed her time in the water! We can't wait till spring comes so we can do this more often!
