Trick or Treat Night!

Tonight our neighborhood had Trick or Treat and boy did we have a great time! Unfortunately Anthony had to work, so he missed out, but of course, I took lots of pictures so he could see Levi's 1st Trick or Treat! Nana (Anthony's mom) came to help out and Levi had a great time going door to door with her! I stayed at our house and passed out candy because I love seeing all the kids dressed up! Levi must have known something was special about today because he refused to take a nap all day....I was shocked that he was still going strong when him and Nana returned from their adventure out!

Here we are with Nana....who took Levi to almost every house in the neighborhood!! Anthony's gonna love all this candy!

This is Levi before all the fun began! He was so excited!!!

Levi and his best bud Kaden...they are so funny! Levi loved his sucker!

As you can tell..I couldn't get the sucker away from him! Poor Kaden...did Levi steal your candy???

Me and Levi after he was all done Trick or Treating!

Thanks Grandma Gheen for the costume! This was actually Levi's cousin's Drew costume that my mom had bought when I was in college. We were the Cedarville Yellow Jackets. So it was even more perfect for tonight because we live in Woodford County who are also the Yellow Jackets. Nana had a few people tell her that we needed to take Levi to the football game tonight and have Levi be the mascot! :)

Levi discovered that the pumpkin had all the goodies!

LOOK MOM, A SNICKERS BAR!!!

And he's still going strong...

What a great night we had...hopefully next year, Anthony will be able to join us!

Phillies win World Series!!

I will admit that our family isn't the biggest fans of baseball...but everyone must appreciate it simply because of its history and that it is an American sport true and true. With that said....of all gifts that was sent to Levi in this past year....John and Sharon Leininger sent Levi his first Phillie's hat!! And last night they won the World Series!! They were also the ones who sent Levi his Texas shirt, which was what I'm convinced got him that interview at the Bush Rally! Pretty much, Levi seems to be a good luck charm....so if anyone wants to send anything to us, go ahead!!!!
I'm kidding of course. Congrats to the Phillie's- 2008 World Series Champions!!

Week in OHIO!!

We spent the past week in Buckeye country...also known at this time, "the heart of the election battleground". We did SO MUCH on our trip and if I were to write everything we did while up there, it would take me all night....so I will just give some highlights!

We visited Fulton Farms with my brother's family and my mom. The kids got pumpkins and we attempted some pictures!
Later that same day, we had a bonfire and hayrides with my mom's side of the family. We love getting together with them, and despite the cold weather, we had a great time! Levi especially loved the hayride...even sitting with Uncle Doug! The guys played football, we roasted hotdogs (well, I should say Uncle Dana and Uncle Doug roasted the hotdogs) and the kids played on the big dirt pile...until glass was found on it!

Levi and my Uncle Doug!

Look at the beautiful countryside!

Me and Sarah (my brother's beautiful wife) and our "babies"!

Some of the guys warming up by the fire. That's my brother Tom on the right.

This is one of my nephews, Reese, holding hands with my cousins girl, Madison! How cute!

It wouldn't be a Cron get together, without lots of food! Yum Yum!

On Monday, we visited Cedarville. We got to tour the new Bible Center, thanks Coach Fagan! We attempted to go to Chapel and were able to sing one song. Then Levi decided it was play time! We got to talk with Dr. Brown (president of Cedarville) afterwards though and see some freinds who are still around. We ate lunch at Chuck's and hung around long enough to see our basketball teams begin practice. It was a blast to be back on campus and push Levi around. Here's a picture of the Bible Center.

Here's the view from the new Bible center looking over part of the lake. We took Levi into the gym and let him crawl around and play with the basketballs. Coach Estepp said he'd just go ahead and get Levi to sign a letter of intent to play!

As if all this wasn't enough, we had yet another great adventure! On Thursday, Sarah Palin came to town!! It's actually quite the story, but I'll give the short version! We got to Hobart Arena in Troy around 10 am. The rally started at noon, but many people were lining up outside waiting to get in around 7 am. We couldn't do that with Levi. Anyway, so we were pretty much some of the last people to arrive and to get through the doors. However, at the front entrance a woman met us and asked us if we would like VIP seats and be on the National News. Anthony and I looked at each other wondered what the catch was. After finding out there was no catch, we followed the girl who took us to front row seats right beside the stage. Come to find out, the people around us had been in line since 7 am to get their seats! (It really pays to have a baby with you at these things!) So we thought that was pretty cool...little did we know, it would only get better! I tried to get a picture of the entire arena before it all got packed!

Before the rally began, country music star, Tracey Lawrence came out on stage and performed 4 songs! He sang a few of his hits and then a song about Jesus!!! I don't know this for sure, but I'm guessing that you wouldn't hear a singer sing about Jesus at an Obama rally! So that was really neat too!

Levi was great during the rally!! It honestly surprised me just how well he did. He cried pretty much the whole wait outside, but once we got inside and he heard the band and saw the lights and the signs, he was great! In his 11 months of life, Levi has already seen more politcal figures than my parents have!

And then Sarah Palin and her husband and 2 of her daughters came out! It was AWESOME!

Her 2 daughters signing autographs with pink pens!! So cute!

Afterwards was the best part. We took Levi down to the stage. Sarah and her husband and kids signed autographs and took pictures with some people and even though we couldn't get close enough to get either of those, it is such a nice thing have a 6'7" husband who can lift a child high into the air. We were about 4 rows back and Anthony did just that to Levi. Sarah look at us, waved to Anthony and me, and grabbed her husband, Todd's arm and pointed to Levi (who was hoisted way high in the air) and said, "Look at that cute baby!"!!!!! We couldn't beleive it!! It was incredible and we will never forget that!

Levi got to go on his first Combine ride! Thanks Joe and Uncle Doug!

Another highlight of our trip was having a get together with our freinds from school. Jason, Jane, Eric, Lauren and JJ (we missed you Sarah). I forgot to take a picture....but we had a blast with you guys! We wish we lived closer and could hang out more often!

Anthony and I got to have a date night while up in Ohio as well. We saw the movie FIREPROOF, which is an amazing movie...we both agreed it's one of our favorites of all time. And then we ate out afterwards! Thanks Grandma for watching Levi for us!

Football Saturday's are always fun in Ohio. Even though the Bucks lost to Penn State, it was still a great game. At least it was better than UK getting killed by Florida by like 50 points. We even wore our UK gear to support them...guess it didn't help!

Other fun things about being in Ohio are Cornhole and the pretty sunsets. Levi loves cornhole!

We did so much more than this on our trip and I have lots of pictures of Levi doing funny things and with Grandma and Grandpa...I'll put all the pictures of facebook later so if you want to see more, just go there! Grandma did teach Levi to say the word BALL and he is getting so close to walking now! We can't wait for our next trip back to Ohio....it won't be long!!!!

Dance Machine!

Levi first heard this song when Sarah Palin was introduced at the Nutter Center as John McCain's running mate. He has been dancing with excitement ever since and we can't get him to stop!

Yesterday!

We had such a fun day yesterday! The weather once again was awesome outside so we did our normal enjoyable things outside: play football, swing Levi, go on walks, ect. And then it started getting dark and a bit windy so we all came inside. As we were eating dinner and it was starting to rain a little bit, Anthony all of a sudden screamed...."IT"S JOEY I SWEAR!!!!!!!!!!" Now to those of you who didn't know this, we have been missing our family cat for over 3 weeks now. He has gone on long trips before where we haven't seen him for a week or so, but this time we gave up on him after about 2 and a half. Which was a coincidence in itself because he dissapeared just right before we gave Sadie, our German Shepherd, away. So we have been petless for over 2 weeks now. Just 2 days ago, we cleaned out our garage and threw away Joey's bed and we picked up his food and water bowls and we also starting shutting our garage door all the way (we normally kept a crack in it for him to come and go as he pleased)! So long and behond as Anthony was yelling last night, I thought he was playing a mean trick. But sure enough, I got up and looked out the window and who did I see come strolling over the hill??? Yes, our orange striped white tipped tail cat JOEY!!! He came home!!! Only God knows where he has been and what the heck he has been up to, but wherever he was, he sure did eat good!!

So then after dinner last night, I was doing the dishes and Anthony picked Levi up out of his highchair only to find that he had wet his pants all over. It was about bath time anyway, so I told Anthony to strip him down and that I would finish up and take him upstairs. Well, as usual, dad found something funny to do with Levi. This is just one of the many pictures we took, and we got some unbelievably funny video! We can't wait to show this to Levi when he grows up about how he used to LOVE to play on the refridgerator butt naked!!! He seriously LOVED it!!! Never a dull moment in our house that's for sure....at least when Anthony is home!

Anthony's Birthday!

Well since Anthony had to work on his birthday, Levi and I left out some surprises for him when he got home! He actually got them the morning of his birthday when he got home at 2 a.m. We made him a homemade chocolate cake, got him the new Bart Millard (the lead singer from Mercy Me) CD, and Levi made his daddy a very creative card;) We had all this laying out for him for when he got home and it surprised him a lot! Here's what the card looked like and how we decorated the area where we left the card, cake and CD!

Making a card for daddy.....and some more Fall Pictures

Tomorrow is Anthony's birthday, so I had Levi pose for me so we could make a card for his daddy! This was his famous pose, so I somehow managed to incorporate the "touchdown" pose into a birthday card! Look at all the gross food in Levi's hands....no, I'm not sure why I decided to do this during dinner!

Yesterday we attempted to take some pictures of Levi outside. He turns 10 months tomorrow, so I thought it would make for some good 10 month pictures. It was the first and last time he will wear the carhart bibs though. They are just too short for his legs.

This picture cracks me up because if you look closely, Levi found a stick to hold onto. I think he was attempting to act like his father...Anthony has a police baton he carries in his duty belt. Thus, Levi finds his own version.....a tree limb! :)

He really likes our scarecrow! If you put him up to the scarecrows face and talk in a different voice, he thinks it talks to him!! You could say one of two things...either, 1. awwww....that's so cute of Levi...or 2. Levi's parents are REALLY wierd!! I'm guessing most would say #2.

Raven's Run!

Yesterday was a beautiful cool fall day so we decided to go hiking!! We have been waiting all summer long for the cool weather, so we took advantage of it yesterday! We hiked at Raven's Run which is south of Lexington....it felt like we were in a different world!

Here's Dad and Son at the beginning of our hike!

We passed by these really neat stone wall fences that were built back in the 1700's.

30 min. later, we reached our destination at the lookout over the Kentucky River!

Levi loved the lookout!

Don't let me go Dad!

Hey Uncle Tom...Levi just did his first Rock Climb :)

The Rock Climb wore him out, so of course he needed to re-energize himself!

Daddy and Levi being silly at the lookout!

On our hike back to the Nature Center, we stopped and saw this old home that was built during the Revolutionary War Time period. You can see that Levi was pooped out by this point in our hike! There was also this graveyard with soldiers and people from the Revolutionary War!! Most of the stones were not readable, but one of them had been updated with a newer plate. We thought this was really amazing!

This was Levi on our trip back to the truck. Oddly enough the second we reached the truck it was lunch time, so he woke up and was really excited! We put a blanket down at the picnic area and sat and ate our lunch! What a great family fun day we had :)

MAKE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN, I ADDED ANOTHER POST FOR TODAY!
