Christmas in Ohio!

So it's only taken me a few weeks to get these pictures posted....but here you go...our Christmas with my family (celebrated New Years weekend!)

Levi and his cousins Drew and Reese...I think my parents need to invest in a hot tub next!

HO-HO-HO

Crazy boys!

T.R.O.U.B.L.E.

Drew with Uncle Anthony!

On the first night we got their, we let the kids open gifts from each other....(Colt was sleeping as usual!)

I love my precious niece Claire!

My Dad is strange...now I know where Levi gets it from....it couldn't be me!

The next morning (New Years Eve) we celebrated our "Christmas morning!)

Later that day, we watched UK beat up on Louisville!

Like I said...trouble! Here they are sneaking some sweets from the kitchen!

For New Years Eve night, we went bowling with all of my mom's side of the family....I'll post a few of those pictures later. When we got home, Anthony and I were so tired that we went to bed before the ball even dropped! What a way to celebrate!

The next day, it was time to pack up and head home.

Colt punching Uncle Tom!

Grandma and Grandpa with all of the grandkids!

We had a great time seeing my parents and my brothers family. It was a short trip, but a fun one (depsite Anthony and I only getting like 4 hours of sleep at night because Colt was snoring so loud in our room! I actually ended up crawling in bed with Levi the first night around 3 a.m. cuz I hadn't fallen asleep yet. Levi is a wild sleeper..he kept kicking me!) We were glad to get back home and put Colt back in his own room by himself!

I have some more pictures from our trip...ones from my moms camera, however I'm deciding not to include them on here because they didn't save correctly and are too small. It did get up to about 60 degrees when we were in Ohio...so we were able to get outside and walk to the creek for the kids to throw rocks, and play a little football. It's always fun to get outside when you have that many little kids in the house!

Colt has now learned to pull himself up, so today we had to lower his crib all the way down! Yet another milestone and I wonder where the time is going! Last week he gave me a bloody nose! This is gross, but he actually somehow got his finger up my nose and scratched it....it hurt like you know what! He thought it was rather funny to watch me yell!

Tonight Anthony and Levi are in Frankfort for Anthony's police basketball tournament. He will play again tomorrow morning so we are all planning on going...we'll see how that goes!

I better go for now....it's very nice having the peace and quiet for a little while :)

Random pics...

Running short on time tonight, so here are a few snapshots from December.

Colt on fridge...

I don't knwo what Anthony's obsession with sticking our children on our appliances is...but we had the same ones with Levi.

And the ever famous naked on the fridge pose....Levi liked this a lot better than Colt did. (not Levi now, but Levi when he was Colt's age! haha!)

Playing an intense game of Candyland...I'm afraid that Levi is inheriting our competetiveness....uh-oh!

Just hanging around with dad!

One of Colt's top teeth is starting to pop through! The past few days he has been crawling everywhere and saying da-da-da-da over and over. He also has started this lion roar...it's pretty funny! He will be 9 months old here in a few weeks....where is the time going? Levi's doing good...he's been getting into some trouble lately, but thank goodness today we could get out and play in the snow....getting outside helps him burn up some of that built up energy!

Stalking Santa!

We absolutely love all of our neighbors...we are blessed to have such a wonderful corner in our neighborhood :) With that said...this past summer we had some new neighbors move in next door- Forest and Carol! We weren't really sure what to think about them at first (LOL....totally kidding....I know they will read this, that's why I wrote that!) I have to be careful of my sarcasm on-line....it gets me in trouble sometimes!
Anyway....no, so we love them too, and this past Christmas, Carol asked us to participate in a little something to get at Forest. Without telling the whole entire embarrassing story, lol.....this is what happened. They moved here from West Virginia and when they lived there, Forest had a little incident with a Santa statue. I guess one morning he thought someone was outside of their house walking around at 5 a.m. He told Carol to be very quiet and very still so "he" wouldn't see them. He made her turn off the lights so "he" couldn't see in as well! Come to find out, it was just the neighbors statue of Santa! So....since then, Forest has had a few run ins with the old man. This year would be no different!

Here's the Santa at their West Virginia house!

One day, they even found him on the interstate!

This year, he made it to our front yard!

And every day, the week before Christmas, Santa slowly would inch his way toward their house...

He jumped across the driveway and is now facing their house! Carol was hoping that Forest would notice and ask her about it...he refused to say anything to her despite knowing she was probably in on it!

Here's some pictures from my camera....

Stalking Santa is even keeping an eye out on Levi!

He got closer and closer until the day before they got home, Anthony moved him to their back porch!

So when Forest and Carol got home that night, Santa would be starring at them from the back door!

Uh-oh Forest....Santa's gonna put you on the naughty list!

So then when we got home from Ohio after New Years...this is what we came home to! lol!

Forest....we know you don't want to admit it, but Carol got you good!!!! It was ALL her idea, I promise!!!!

Next Post will be of our trip to Ohio....and I better get on it because we are going back in a few weeks for alumni weekend at Cedarville :)

Today I signed up to be a Scentsy Independent Consultant...I'm so excited to see how God is going to use this business to help us further His kingdom here on earth! Are you wondering why I would say that? Well then stay tuned....I will write more on that later as well.

Also...this past weekend Anthony attended Deputy Hopper's funeral up in Ohio. For those of you not from that area...she was shot and killed only miles away from our college campus. It also was from the area of Ohio where I am from, making this incident even more dear to our hearts. Anthony was honored, along with his best freind and 4 other Lexington Police, to represent the department. We will be visiting her gravesite when we go back to Ohio in a few weeks. It will be emotional I'm sure as the past few days have been that way for us. I will post more on that later as well.

Also- a prayer request for all you prayer warriors who read this. Our pastor, Rick Long (40 years old) will be finding out tomorrow if he needs open heart surgery. Please pray for him, his wife Paula and their 7 year old daughter Linley. I will keep you posted on this as well...

Thanks for reading this really really long post!

Happy New Year 2011!

So obviously my New Years Resolution was not to get my blog page updated...my apologies....but since I technically didn't make it to watch the ball drop ( I fell asleep at 11:00) then technically I don't have to make a resolution, lol! Here's my pictures from Christmas Day...hold on, there's a bunch!

The boys on Christmas morning...Colt's first Christmas ever and Levi's first Christmas as a big brother!

Colt liked to eat the paper.

He learned to crawl and pull himself up a week before Christmas...thank goodness the tree is down now!

Levi with the only thing he wanted for Christmas...Criss Cross Crash!

He was very excited about it!

I made Anthony's gift this year :)

The other thing Levi asked for this year....a Pillow Pet.

Enjoying the white Christmas!

Stalking Santa is in the background...more to come about this later!

This is tradition....

WEEEEEE!!!

The biggest Snow Angel I've ever seen!

Like the song goes....this was a Christmas to remember. The white snow on the ground was a reminder to us that Christ came into the world to wipe away our sins white as snow :) The other part that was nice is that Colt had the best day of his life. The previous 2 months have been bad for him trying to get his bottom 2 teeth in. But on Christmas Eve and Christmas day...he was great! It made for wonderful memories with our family this Christmas....our first as a family of 4 and I know for a fact it will be one that I never forget!
