Newport Aquarium Part 1

About week and a half ago, we took Levi to the Aquarium in Newport as part of his birthday gift! It was the most perfect thing we could do for him....he is obsessed with whales, sharks, fish, seahorses and anything else to do with the ocean! We left early in the morning and made a whole morning and afternoon of it! I will post part 2 of my pictures soon!

This was Levi's face as we were pulling into the parking lot at the aquarium...he was so excited!

He would say "LOOK AT ALL OF THEM!"

Playing on the drums!

Levi loves fish and tunnels....so you can imagine when the two are put together!

Touching a crab!

Levi and Mommy!

Levi and Daddy!

He explored the place like it was all his!

He was a little hesitant to cross over the glass. This was the crocodile exhibit and you could see them through the glass floor. The only way he would cross over is if I held his hand! If I didn't, he would creep around the edges, being very careful not to "fall in"! It was funny!

Climbing up on a frog!

I have lots more pictures of out day, but blogger is taking a long time to load pictures for some reason, so I will post more later!

BIG-A-BOY BED

Here is the promised picture of Levi's big boy bed.....what he refers to as his big-a-boy- bed. He's been in it now for over a month and the transition actually was fairly easy thank goodness! He really does enjoy taking his naps and going to bed in it, so that's a blessing!

Yes, moms, the bed isn't made....he just got up from his nap in this picture! :)

Trick or Treat

On the weekend of trick-or-treat, my mom came down to help out! Even though she wasn't feeling the best herself, it was a definite blessing having her here! I don't think I would have been able to take Levi trick-or-treating if I didn't have her help. Here's some pictures of our night.
Getting Levi all ready!

CHEESE!

at best freind Kaden's house!

A cowboy and a referee :)

gettin' candy from Ms. Teeter

Walking up with Grandma (Mom- I need that picture of you and Levi together!!!!)

Doing it all by himself!

Worn out at the end of the night.....I think we hit about 20 or so houses which made for one full pumpkin!

Ever since Halloween, Levi has been really into monsters. He loves when Anthony pretends to be a monster, and he will proceed to say "Go away monsters, don't like you, go back to your home" Sometimes he will throw in a "we'll punch your lights out monsters". It makes us laugh...his imagination is funny. He also will voluntarily come inside in the evenings because he knows that when it gets dark outside, the monsters come out. There were some houses decorated in our neighborhood during trick or treat with whiches and ghosts and all, so he still remembers which houses those are as well. When we walk by them, he is sure to tell them to "go away"!

On Sunday, Mom treated us to Cracker Barrel!

I'm now starting to pump up Thanksgiving and Christmas to Levi. The holidays are going to be fun this year for sure.
Another random thing about Levi lately is that he likes to have phone conversations with my real cell phone or his play phones. Every time it consists of a phone call to papa, and he will say the following. "Hello Papa, what you doing in there? Playing? Yes sir!" If you could only hear his voice when he says it, it cracks me up every time!
Stay tuned...I will try and do a better job of updating my blog page with whats going on in our lives!

Trunk-or-Treat

Last Wednesday our church had Trunk-or-treat night. I'm so glad that it worked out for us to go because on Halloween Trick-or-treat night, Anthony had to work. So at least he got to see Levi get dressed up for one of the nights! We decided to have Levi be a referee because he enjoys watching college football on Saturdays with daddy. But instead of getting into the plays and such, he LOVES when the refs come on....and especially when they call a false start.
So leading up to Halloween we taught Levi how to do the motions for a false start call, to blow the whistle and throw the flag and to yell out, "false start on the offense, 5 yard penalty, repeat first down" Only his version sounded more like"false start, opense, somebody, firs don!!!" Here's some pictures from truck-or-treat. I will get trick-or-treat pictures up soon!

All ready to go! He loved blowing the whistle!

About 20 minutes later and 20 car trunks later, Levi's pumpkin was full!!! It was perfect weather for a perfect night!

I wanna be like you Dad!

A few days ago "the boys" decided to mow the front lawn.....it reminded me of the song by Rodney Atkins called "Watching You"....

He said, "I’ve been watching you, dad ain’t that cool?

I’m your buckaroo, I wanna be like you.

And eat all my food and grow as tall as you are.

We got cowboy boots and camo pants

Yeah, we’re just alike, hey, ain’t we dad?

I want to do everything you do.

So I’ve been watching you."

Boyd Orchards Part 3

We didn't want to wait or pay to go on the hayride....so we took Levi on his own little "hayride". He was really pumped up about it! We walked back to the pumpkin patch and through the apple orchards...it was really neat! :)

going through the "tunnel"!

picking out a pumpkin! he would say OOOO, HEAVY!

Stay tuned: last night we went trunk or treating at our church.....pictures to come soon!
