Levi and I had a fun day yesterday! We got to watch our freind's daughter, Maddie! She's 2 so it was a good thing for me to get used to watching more than 1 little child at a time! She's very well behaved and very smart! Levi loved watching her play and she even made him laugh a few times! It was nice having some one else entertain Levi for a change! Even though they are almost 2 years apart, Levi is gettin' close to her size!

Levi's 6 month pictures!

These are just 5 of the many pictures I tried taking of Levi. Seriously, I probably took about 50 or so just to get a few good ones!

So I decided to take Levi's 6 month old pictures! Don't ask me why I try this....(Penny- I swore that I was gonna use you this time...maybe Levi's 1 yr old pictures I will!!! haha)...but I do enjoy the process. Maybe it's because I have Anthony help me and he stands next to me making dumb faces and silly sounds. The pictures that really would be fun to look at would be if Levi could have a camera and take pictures of Anthony and me trying to get him to smile! It's very hard to get a 6 month old to sit still, smile and look at the camera! But I think that's why we choose to take the pictures in the privacy of our own home because people would really wonder about us if they could see what we do !
If you are in my family, you will be getting a 6 month picture of Levi sometime in the next few weeks...I just am waiting to get them developed and sent out!

Happy Father's Day!

Today we are celebrating Anthony's first father's day!!! He definitely deserves a day to honor him because he does so much! Levi LOVES his daddy and honestly no one can make Levi laugh like Anthony does. They are such good buddies already and I'm excited to watch their relationship grow over the years! Here's some pictures we took today!

It's really funny because Levi just loves to stare at Anthony. Last night during dinner, it was me who was feeding Levi but Daddy who had his complete attention. I'm glad that Levi has good peripheral (sp?) vision because he can stare at daddy, but he sure does know when that spoon comes close to his mouth to open up WIDE! It's really a funny site to see!

We all went to church this morning and I worked in the nursery. There's so many adorable little ones at our church! I tease Anthony and tell him that he got a real father's day gift from Levi and I today at church....a BREAK from the both of us!
I love this picture of them....with the flag in the background...so patriotic! :)
Happy Father's Day to all fathers today!!!!!!!!!

Day at the Arboretum!

Yesterday (Sat.) we went to the campus of UK and walked around at the Arboretum! This was our first time doing this and we had a lot of fun! I'm guessing the flowers are the prettiest (is that a word?) in the spring time but it was still very nice! It was a great day for being outside and we definitely enjoyed the opportunity! I'm sure I got on Anthony's nerves with taking so many pictures, but after all was said and done, he even admitted that he was glad I did! The ones of Levi sitting in the grass with the flowers behind him are my favorite!

Lightning Strikes!

As you can tell, it's been a long time since I've updated my blogpage. Thats because last week during a big storm, we got struck by lightning and it fried out computer. So just today we got our new computer and are back online. It's amazing how much we rely on technology these days. I don't know how many times Anthony and I were talking about something, and we were like...I'll just go check the internet...then remember we didn't have it. Things like..checking the weather...looking up recipes....one night we were trying to remember where the summer Olympics were in 2004 and we couldn't figure it out so we were like..let's go check the, nevermind, we don't have it. So Anthoy called his sister and found out the answer! So while we felt dissconnected with the world, we felt more connected with each other. I think we may start turning the computer off more now...so while it really stunk that we had to buy a new computer, we were able to find many positives about this experience. 1. Our hard drive was still there and that was saved (for a fine price of course!) 2. we learned a valuable lesson that during a storm to turn your computer off even if it is "asleep" and 3. that you should have an updated surge protector (ours was like 6 years old!).
Levi turned 6 months old this past week! I can't beleive it! He is starting to get up on his hand and knees and I know he will be taking off any day now! We actually went to Lowe's and bought safety gear for the house...gates, locks ect! He is also starting to sit up on his own, however our dr. told us that it may take him longer since he is so big! Speaking of our doctor. Levi had his 6 month checkup on Friday. He is still huge and in the 100 percentile in hieght and 95 th in weight. He is getting harder and harder for me to hold and he LOVES being held alot right now. He has figured out the Johnny Jump Up and LOVES it!! Its so funny...every morning while Im eating breakfast I put him in there for his "morning exercises" and he just goes to town in that thing! Oh, also...Levi said his first word this past week! MOMMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha....actually I dont know if it's really his first word or not....he has no idea that he's saying it, but he does make the sound mommamomomomamomma , and I got it on tape for proof!

Anthony taught Levi to do the "Sprinkler"!!!!!

The owners book says not to use the exersaucer as a sled or to fill it up with water. So since it never snows here and we can't use it as a sled, we tried out the other. We taped up the holes and filled it with water. I'll never understand why they say not to do it because Levi loved it!

The picture on the left was taken on Levi's 6 month b-day! On the right, Levi is in his new Diego hat!
