A friend of ours gave us 3 free tickets and a parking pass right beside the stadium to last Saturday's UK football game....how could someone pass that up?? We were somewhat hesitant to go because it was cold out....I think the high that day was 43. But we ended up going and we had a great time!

Levi on the way to the game...he was pretty excited!
Colt on the way to the game...he had no idea!
We went with the intentions of only staying for the first half...we also planned it around Colt's feeding schedual sice he's still nursing....there was no way I was going to nurse him in the freezing cold! And it worked our perfectly. We got to the stadium about an hr before kickoff so we had our own little tailgate....

...literally, we tailgated on Anthony's tailgate!

Thank the Lord the day before we bought Levi a coat...he needed it!

This was the way Colt stayed the entire time! He was so cozy and warm- and actually helped keep me warm too!
I decided not to take my camera into the stadium because I didn't want to worry about it. I wish I would have...we were a funny sight to see I'm sure! Levi was so excited....right when we walked in, he saw the military men and women standing outside the gate with the football fiield size American flag....he got so excited to see the"soldiers" as he called them. He said, "look mommy and daddy....soldiers!! They are pretty friendly!" Once we got to our seats...which were perfect...they had back rests on them so that helped me since I was "wearing" Colt....once we got settled, the paratroopers came down with the flag. Levi said that was his favorite part of the whole experience...the "parachute man". He loves to retell that part to anyone who will ask him. Because it was military day, they had a fly-over after the national anthem...Levi thought that was pretty cool too, but they came right over our heads so he kept looking up thinking they were going to come back.
He also loved the marching band and when the football team ran out onto the field. Once the game started, he wasn't as into it, but still was asking a million quetions! He must have yelled, "GO KENTUCKY" at least 50 times and really got into stomping his feet on the bleachers. When he saw the people in front of us get some popcorn, he sweetly asked Anthony if he could have some too. So we bought him his own box- and he ate the whole thing by himself too!
Colt slept off and on through-out the game, unphased by the noise and the cold. Like I said, we did make it to halftime....which was just enough for us!
Not too bad of a day considering it only costs us 3 dollars for a box of popcorn. Our boys have no idea how lucky they are to have gone to a college football game....I was 26 years old before I went to my first game!
Thanks again to our freinds Bo and Tiffany for the great seats and parking space!!! We made memories that were definitely "priceless" that day!
