Levi's 3rd Birthday Party with his freinds!

Last Saturday we had a birthday party for Levi with his freinds! We chose last weekend since this weekend was Thanksgiving and next weekend is football championship week! How awful that we chose his birthday party date around football! No, the real reason was because I didn't want to throw a party with the Christmas decorations up..I wanted there to be a difference. And it worked out awesome because it the temperature was in the 60's and sunny, so we were actually able to have the party outside and in the garage!

He was so excited ALL day long...he kept asking if it was time for his party and if he could open his gifts!

The theme of the party was trains! I was able to reuse all of our election signs as posterboard....how nice is that!?

And here is the famous train that the kids took rides in! Thanks to our freinds Wayne and Sonya for coming up with the idea of the bike pull-a-longs to use as train carts...and their help in getting it all together!

The Birthday boy in his engineer hat!!

The kids eating pizza :)

Our family :)

Levi and Grason getting ready for the ride!

Conductor Anthony!

Mr. Wayne taking the boys for a ride!

The cake!!!

The train I made using baby food containers! After the party, each child got a part of the train.

Finally getting to open his presents!

Riding with Daddy!

Thanks to all of Levi's freinds (and their mommy's and daddy's) for making Levi feel so special for his birthday party! He is so blessed to have such good freinds :)

7 months old!

Colt will be 7 months old tomorrow, but I'm posting this tonight because who knows if I will be up for posting tomorrow! Levi has been waking up before 7, so I have been going to bed earlier these past few days! Colt has been fighting a cold, so the last three nights, he has gone to bed at 5:30ish....isn't that stupid?!?! I try and keep him up...but for some reason when he has a cold, he won't nap well, but once he gets his bath...he is ready to conk out! And then he'll still sleep till 7:30..it's Levi that wears me out in the morning. So with that said, here's some pictures of the last week or so...

Both boys are happy....this has been a rare thing this past week!

Colt is finally learning to sit up on his own!

On this day he sat up for about 10 minutes on his own, which is a big deal for him!

We have currently started going to a new church and today we met with the 2 pastors at this new church. We are SO excited about it and to see how God is going to use this change to help us grow in our relationship with Him as well as others. Please pray for us....this is a big, but much needed change for us! :)

Coming Up: This weekend was Levi's birthday party with his freinds, so I will be posting those pictures hopefully soon!

November Update!

We made a turkey today.....I had Levi help me name some things he was thankful for to write on the feathers...interesting to see his point of view!!

Thanks to our friends and neighbors Blake and Melissa for passing on some of their boys clothes to us...the night she dropped them off, Levi was excited to put on his new football PJ's!

Colt learning to drink his milk from a sippy cup...he won't do a bottle, but we are getting there with a cup...no reason to force it other than we are wanting to go on a date night some night!!

Anthony and Levi up on the roof!

He thought he was pretty hot stuff!

I have found out just how stubborn I am...Colt has been throwing down his spoon when he eats. I REFUSE to let a 7 month old get the best of me, so I tied his spoon with a string to his highchair. Try me now Colt!! LOL :)

Boy's 1st UK Game!

A friend of ours gave us 3 free tickets and a parking pass right beside the stadium to last Saturday's UK football game....how could someone pass that up?? We were somewhat hesitant to go because it was cold out....I think the high that day was 43. But we ended up going and we had a great time!

Levi on the way to the game...he was pretty excited!

Colt on the way to the game...he had no idea!

We went with the intentions of only staying for the first half...we also planned it around Colt's feeding schedual sice he's still nursing....there was no way I was going to nurse him in the freezing cold! And it worked our perfectly. We got to the stadium about an hr before kickoff so we had our own little tailgate....

...literally, we tailgated on Anthony's tailgate!

Thank the Lord the day before we bought Levi a coat...he needed it!

This was the way Colt stayed the entire time! He was so cozy and warm- and actually helped keep me warm too!

I decided not to take my camera into the stadium because I didn't want to worry about it. I wish I would have...we were a funny sight to see I'm sure! Levi was so excited....right when we walked in, he saw the military men and women standing outside the gate with the football fiield size American flag....he got so excited to see the"soldiers" as he called them. He said, "look mommy and daddy....soldiers!! They are pretty friendly!" Once we got to our seats...which were perfect...they had back rests on them so that helped me since I was "wearing" Colt....once we got settled, the paratroopers came down with the flag. Levi said that was his favorite part of the whole experience...the "parachute man". He loves to retell that part to anyone who will ask him. Because it was military day, they had a fly-over after the national anthem...Levi thought that was pretty cool too, but they came right over our heads so he kept looking up thinking they were going to come back.

He also loved the marching band and when the football team ran out onto the field. Once the game started, he wasn't as into it, but still was asking a million quetions! He must have yelled, "GO KENTUCKY" at least 50 times and really got into stomping his feet on the bleachers. When he saw the people in front of us get some popcorn, he sweetly asked Anthony if he could have some too. So we bought him his own box- and he ate the whole thing by himself too!

Colt slept off and on through-out the game, unphased by the noise and the cold. Like I said, we did make it to halftime....which was just enough for us!

Not too bad of a day considering it only costs us 3 dollars for a box of popcorn. Our boys have no idea how lucky they are to have gone to a college football game....I was 26 years old before I went to my first game!

Thanks again to our freinds Bo and Tiffany for the great seats and parking space!!! We made memories that were definitely "priceless" that day!

Welcome November!

I heard today on the radio that some people may suffer from PESD....Post Election Stress Disorder. I had to laugh when I heard this because if anyone would have it, it would be Anthony and I. But we are doing just fine! Rand Paul won..but we are still waiting for the results for Andy Barr...he's 600 votes behind and waiting for absentee's to get in and the rest of one county...to be honest it doesn't look great for him, but we still love him and hopefully he'll get it 2 years from now! Here's some pictures to start off the month of November....I packed away my Halloween decorations today...and it will be Thanksgiving before we know it!

Levi telling me that he was clipping his fingernails...because he is a big boy now and doesn't need help with ANYTHING!

Colt's new fascination- pears and grapes....just like a popcicle according to Levi!

It's a new way to keep him entertained at least.....he's turned into Levi...he has to be entertained somehow and can't be content just sitting there....which I guess is a good thing in a way.

My best freind from gradeschool and highschool, Christy stopped in to say hi! Her and her husband live in Florida and they were on their way back home from visiting her mom in Ohio. I hadn't seen her since my wedding day which was about 5 1/2 years ago! Her husband loves Ohio....so much that he wants to move back there..I'm all for that! Ohio is much closer than Tampa Florida!

Our friends, Ken and Amanda are letting us borrow their "jumpy thing" (I don't know what else to call it!) for Colt...its so much quieter than the Johnny Jump Up...and he really enjoys it! So much, that I have to moniter how long he's been in it so I don't let him stay in it too long! LOL :)

October wrap-up!

I still had some pictures from the month of October, so I figured I'd better get them posted before November starts slipping away! I did get out Levi's 1st year scrapbook the other day to compare 2 boys at 6 months of age. At 6 months, they were both 29 inches (100%) however Levi was 24 pounds (110%) and Colt is 19 pounds (50%). Even though they are the same length, Colt seems so much smaller than Levi was....it's probably the weight and the head size..Levi's was 100% and Colt's is only 30%. I just thought it was interesting to compare the two! Enjoy the last pictures of October!

Colt loves to suck on his toes....here he is watching Baby Einstein just sucking away!

What Mom? They taste good!

SO GOOD!

On the Friday before Halloween we carved a pumpkin...Levi was really excited about it because we had been reading books and watching shows about jack-o-lanterns.

Getting ready to cut the top off!

He didn't really care to be hands on, but he kept reminding me to make a "freindly face" and not a scary one.

He took one look at the "pumpkin guts" and said "OOOOO, that's gross!"

He was very serious!

Kaden came over...so I let them color the pumpkin!

The finished product!

On Wednesday of last week, Ms. Sharon had her big Halloween party.

Waiting in line to take a turn at whacking the pinata.

He busted a few pieces out!

Colt just watching...and eating!

Once it busted open, Levi ran over and grabbed a sucker and told me he was done!

Levi and his buddy Grason...they kept showing each other what they got, lol!

He's growing up way too fast!
