Our weekend!

On Saturday we went to the Nutter Fieldhouse to watch a family freind of Anthony's in a track meet. Before the meet, Denise and Kay stopped in at our house to see where we lived! It was fun having them here even though it was only for a few short minutes! It was so nice to talk with and catch up with them....it had been years since we seen them, although it doesn't seem like it. That's the neat thing about having great freinds..you can always pick up right where you left off!

Here's Denise and Kay at our house with Levi! Kay is Anthony's God mother! :)

Saturday afternoon, Papa (Anthony's dad) came for a visit! This was the first visit in a long time that he came and Levi wasn't sick! So it was fun to see Levi interact with Papa. Saturday night we all went out to Cheddar's for dinner....MMMMM...I think it's my new most favorite place to eat!

This is our family before church on Sunday. It's a rare thing to get a family photo, so we had Papa take one for us! The rest of Sunday we just relaxed and stayed inside because it's still has been too cold to go outside. I hear tomorrow is supposed to be warmer so hopefully we can get outside then! My brother's family is in Florida right now and I am super jealous! This winter cold weather is driving me insane beign cooped up!

Well, I better get going, Levi will be waking up from his nap anytime now and I better go get Anthony's dinner packed for work tonight. I will try and add more pictures onto facebook sometime soon, so be looking for them!

Day at the Gym!

Today we took Levi to the gym....we all had a great time...here's some pictures of our day!

The first thing he did when we walked in was say "BALL" and took off after it!

Dunking with daddy! He actually would hang a few seconds on the rim by himself (of course with Anthony right there!)

He would not leave this ball cart alone, so finally Anthony stuck him in there....he had never been so happy!

Needless to say, Levi wore himself out today and passed out on the way home. We couldn't even wake him up when he got out of the truck!

What a fun day...I think next time we go, we'll go swimming!! :)

Santa or Moses?!?!?!?

I don't have any new pictures for tonight, but I do have a quick cute story about Levi today. This morning we were reading through one of his bible books. In it is Noah and the story of the Ark...when he opens the flap to see Noah, he shouts "Lola". Then there is the story of Daniel in the Lion's Den....he has a hard time with that name and usually just mutters something under his breath sometimes sounding like "Ninul" But the cutest is when we turn to the story of Moses. He lifts up the flap and sees Moses and procedes to say "Ho, Ho, Ho". I can't remember if I've wrote on here or not that Levi associated everything at Christmastime with "Ho, Ho, Ho". Snowmen, Santa, Reindeer, Penguins, Christmas Trees, ect.
Obviously Moses must look like Santa to Levi!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

For Valentine's day, Levi and Anthony got me roses!! But they weren't just any kind of roses...they were specially cut and sent fresh from South America!! It was the coolest thing! 2 nights ago, I got a box....I opened them up and packed nice and neatly inside were a dozen rainbow roses with a beautiful glass vase as well! I was so excited! I took some pictures of them today....they are getting prettier everyday!

Levi had a good Valentine's day...he has been in a fantastic mood the past couple of days...I think it's because he has been able to go outside and play. The kid loves the outdoors! Here' s a picture of him yesterday...he found my 1000 point basketball from highschool and thought it was pretty neat to play with!

I made and sent a few Valentine's cards to the grandparents for Valentine's day.....here are two of the pictures I used.

On this one, I wrote "Valentine- You are the APPLE of my eye!"

On this one I wrote, "Valentine- ORANGE you glad I'm yours?!"

PEEK-A-BOO!

We all know the game peek-a-boo and Levi loves to play it! I snapped these photo's of him today after Anthony left for work. Levi and I must have played peek-a-boo for 30 minutes! Thanks Aunt Sarah for the blanket ;) Levi loves it, especially since it's homemade!

Where's Levi????

BOO! Here I am!

Hi Mom!

I took these earlier in the day when Anthony was getting ready for work. Levi's favorite thing to do when Anthony is getting ready is to pull himself up onto the chair by the desk, and sit, and grunt and point at the computer screen. The reason he does this is so that we will play him some video's. His most favorite out of all the videos is the AC/DC song "Thunderstruck"...the video is of military vehicles and planes blowing stuff up. I can't beleive I just wrote that for the world to read, but it is pretty funny. I used to get mad at Anthony when I would come in to see him and Levi watching this, but now I see how much Levi enjoys watching stuff get blown up....I guess boys will be boys as they say. He will even throw in a few "BAM, VROOM VROOM, BOOMS" as well.

See....it makes him so happy to see stuff bombed....wierd I know!

Bird Watching

We have been completely spoiled with the amazing weather the past few days....I think yesterday and Sunday it was in the upper 60's! I personally thanked the Lord for giving us those beautiful days in Feb. because I am about to go crazy being inside the house all day with a 1 year old. Anyway, it was somewhat short lived because today was rainy. Levi doesn't understand that one day can be nice and then the next rainy because he insisted on going out again today. Through-out the day he'd bring me his shoes and sit down in front of me as if waiting for me to get him ready to go out! So we did the best we could to distract him from the temptation of the outdoors. He has been going through phases of what animal he likes....a few weeks ago it was monkeys (which he still really does like) but currently, he is really into birds. Yes, I said birds. Only Levi refers to them as "bub" and "buba". Today we must have watched the birds forever. He's really fascinated by them. On Sunday when it was warm out, Anthony walked with Levi out to the Llama, buffalo, cattle farm (plus one camel) and took him by the pond...there were hundreds of Canadian geese out there. Once they got out there, they all took off flying and making lots of noise. It was probably the coolest thing for Levi..and I think Anthony enjoyed it to. So yes, today was spent watching the birds out the window. Here's a snapshot I took of the boys "birdwatching".

This one is from a few days ago....thought I would throw it in here too.

Alumni Weekend in Ohio

Last weekend we headed up to Ohio because on Saturday it was Alumni weekend at Cedarville. Despite getting a late start because we lost electricity the morning we were supposed to leave, we still managed to make it to my parents house later on in the evening on Friday before the rest of the snow came. It was great to be home, however on Saturday morning we got the news that my Grandma fell and broke her hip (she will be 90 in April). Anthony, Levi and I still went to Cedarville and played in our games anyway, and we were able to visit my Grandma Sunday and Monday in the hospital. She had surgery already and is on the road to recovery. Pray for her. Here's a family picture of us in the gym at Cedarville. We both managed to get up and down the floor to my surprise.

For more pictures of our time at Cedarville and pictures with our freinds, go to my facebook page and I will have them up shortly! After our games we were treated to an unbelievable meal in the president's room....in my 4 years of college I never got to do this, but I did SERVE a few meals there. Just another reminder that I am getting old!

Here's Anthony with some of his buddies after eating in the President's Dining Room!

We had a great time at my parents house as always. On Sunday we built a snowman....I thought it was a pretty good one too! You can tell that us Southern folk aren't used to much snow!

Levi loved playing with the kitchen with Grandma. Now if only I can teach him to cook when he gets older :) He wouldn't be taking after his daddy that's for sure ;) !!!
