Sparklers!

We've been getting Levi pumped up for the 4th of July by letting him do some sparklers and morning glories at night. We've also been letting him stay up late (since it doesn't get dark until later) so he's really been enjoying that too. He's not too crazy about the loud firecrackers or anything that makes really loud noise. When Anthony set some of those off, Levi walked to the door and said, "I'm just gonna go inside and watch!" We are excited for this weekend to celebrate America's birthday!

2nd Annual Cul-de-sac Cookout!

This past Saturday, we hosted the the 2nd Annual Carriage Lane Cul-de-sac cookout. I think this year we had 8 families that made it. It was a popular week for vacations, so not everyone invited got to make it, but we still had a wonderful time! While we were setting up for the cook-out, I told Levi we were having a party...and he kept saying it was his birthday party!

Here's a few pictures of our night.

Ken and some of the kids playing cornhole!

2 peas in a pod- Levi and Kaden!

Brody checking out all the goodies!

Carl making homemade Strawberry Ice-cream...YUM!

Some of the girls!

I hate this wall in our backyard! The kids play on it like a giant slide. Normally Levi won't do this, but since all the other kids were doing it, I guess he thought it was okay. Needless to say, I will be throwing away the pair of shorts he had on that night. He completely blasted a huge hole in his shorts...went straight through and ripped out his diaper and then to his butt. He still has a huge scab on his butt. When I changed his diaper that night, I was wiping pebbles out of his buttcrack!

Hopefully in the Fall, we will have a campfire and smores night in our backyard! Levi was so excited about having all his freinds over for a party and he is already looking forward to the next one!

Trash to Treasure!

Last week when I was out running, I noticed someone has this table out in their front yard with a "FREE" sign on it! It immediately caught my eye, but I didn't want to stop running. So when I got home, I asked Anthony to go back and pick it up. In my mind, I was thinking it would make a great train table for Levi. And I was right! We had it in the garage for a few days, but then brought it into the playroom. He has played with his trains and tractors and trucks and his barn and animals and everything else on that table every single day! What a great find! I thought about getting some paint and making some grass, water, roads and railways on the table...we'll see if I actually get around to it! For now, he is completely happy with it..he has a great imagination and I will often hear him in the playroom talking..having conversations with Farmer Joe and singing about Moo Moo the Cow (Grandma, that's for you!)

Today was Colt's 2 month check-up. He is now 23 1/2 inches long (55 percentile) and weighs 13 lbs 2 oz (75 percentile). His little head is in the 25 percentile! :) He got 3 shots today too! He has been sleeping great at nights for us still...the past 3 nights its been about 10 hours straight!! One night he even slept longer than Levi did. He's starting to make little sounds, but nothing too much. He really enjoys when I talk to him and will kick his legs and move his arms around to show his excitement! He's getting close to some giggles, but for now he just smiles alot..the kind of smile where he smiles with his whole face- even his eyes. I love it!

Stay tuned: This weekend we hosted our 2nd annual Cul-de-sac Cookout...I will post pictures of that next. Also, I have some good pictures of Levi doing some sparklers and morning glories last night..I will post those on here soon too.

**to give an idea of a typical day in our household, this is my current away message on my facebook page:**

"Tonight in the play room, I saw Levi spread his feet apart and start patting himself all over. I then heard him say "Got any weapons? nope. Any drugs? nope. Yes you do...you got crack, a big butt carck!"

Monkey Joe's!

On Monday it was very hot out, so we decided to take Levi and Colt to Monkey Joe's. We have heard from a lot of people that it's a great placet o take your kids and we have been wanting to go for a long time now, but just waiting either for a hot or rainy day when we didn't want to be outside playing. So Monday was perfect because it was both unbelievably hot and humid and then in the afternoon we had thunderstorms. I'll have to say that it was the best 5 bucks we have ever spent on Levi!!

It's a giant room filled with blow-up slides and jumpy things....a great place for a birthday party (which come December for Levi's birthday we may just have to do!)

Here's some of the bigger slides. Since Levi is under age 4, we could go on the slides with him!! So we have 4 more years (Colt) that Anthony and I can actually do the stuff too...after that we'll just have to "rent" someone elses kid! haha!

They had a toddler section that was Dora and Diego...Levi was in heaven!

And this was another blow up in the toddler section.

Levi was content playing here, but daddy was ready to go on the big slides...

...so they did!

And he loved it!

Although I'm not sure who enjoyed it more...Levi or daddy!

Then I got my turn!

Just before lunch time, Colt passed out...

...which was great because we all got to eat our pizza together!

After lunch, Levi and daddy headed back out for some more fun. Little did Anthony know though that I snuck up on them and took this picture...THIS WAS NOT POSED....this is really my husband in action!!!

And coming out of the tunnel, I caught him by surprise!

I can only imagine what all 3 boys will be like when Colt is old enough to join in!

Before heading home, we let Levi get some tokens and play ski-ball and ride the merry-go-round. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!

*** Baby Colt is 2 months old today!!!!***

I'll take some new pictures of him today and post them on here next!

Water Sprinkler!

It's been super hot out lately so to help cool off, we got out Levi's water sprinkler! It's pretty cool...you put these plastic balls into the base and it shoots them out the top and will balance them in the water that's shooting out the top...Levi liked it, but I gotta say that I think Anthony liked it even more! :)

Anthony showing off his guns...

...and then Levi showing off his guns!

Like father, like son!

Say Cheese :)

Putting the ball into the top of the sprinkler!

My little handsome man!

Look, it's magic!

Daddy and Levi!
