Some new pics and our Fall Decorations!

The boys last Saturday before the Mountaineer's game!

Levi's saying "GOOOOOOO Mountaineers!"

Colt just hanging out...we go out every night that we can and kick football in the street!

Sure, I'm cute now...but I have definitely been a terror for my parents this past month....finally my two front teeth are just starting to show!!

Levi beating up on daddy!

Our outside decorations...Anthony surprised me with the big yellow mums...I love them (and him of course!)

Looks kind of old fashion I think! :)

Stay tune for more updates...Anthony's birthday is coming up on Monday, Oct. 4....so be sure to check back in for his big birthday celebration (not really- but me and the boys have a great present for him!) Anthony's been trying to get Levi to tell him what we got him for his birthday....and I'm so glad that I haven't told Levi!! Levi ended up telling him that he's getting a big white choo-choo train (obviously that's what Levi wants him to get! lol)

House projects Take 1

So one of my favorite shows to watch lately is HGTV's Curb Apeal...if you were to drive by our house this past week, you may have guessed that by the way Anthony and I have been working outside! 16 bags of mulch, 4 cans of spray paint, a bucket of stain, a pint of grey paint, 6 new bricks, 3 bags of rocks, 3 trips to Lowe's, countless hours of labor...and here are some pictures of our projects both before and after!

One of the back flower beds before....

...and after...so much better!

Our address numbers before...looking pretty shabby!

...and after a coat of black spray paint!

Tree before...

...and tree after (too bad the after picture didn't make the grass green!)

My nasty rocking chair before...

...and a beautiful chair after- only took 2 cans of spray paint!

Our mailbox area was struggling before!

...a little black spray paint, some stain on the post and a few new numbers!

Such a cheap easy way to make a fairly drastic improvement!

The drain area before (actually this was after we pulled away the nasty red bricks)

And after...I actually spray painted the new bricks to make them go with our house better!

On my next post, I will post pictures of our front porch improvements! :)

Colt 5 months old!

Another month has come and gone and yet again, I find myself looking at the 24th day of the month....Colt is now 5 months old!!! The past few weeks have been hard on the little guy....I'm convinced he is teething, but so far nothing has come through...hopefully it will end soon or the pain will go away for him! He's still a sweet little thing though...although his cry has definitely got a lot louder!
For now, I'm heading off to bed...Colt is now a early to bed, early to rise kind of kid, getting me up around 7 a.m....let alone the wild older child I have running around the house...I'm exhausted!

Not sure why he looks so cross eyed...it kind of freaks me out a little!

Stay tuned- I have some before and after pictures of some of our house projects!

Levi's Booty Dance, Puppet Show and Colt finds his toes!

Here's some random shots over the past few days...

Levi is crazy!

The boy can shake his booty like none other!!!

I'm trying to teach Levi what a puppet show is...he has some books that we read that talks about puppet shows, so I thought it would be a fun thing. He's learning about props, the stage, the audience and a few jokes. It's funny because I will do one first and then whatever lines I say, he will use the same ones! It's pretty entertaining.

Now introducing the stars of our show...Denny (A.K.A. Mr. Quackers), Benny and Mr. Moose!

...and there's Levi's head!

Colt will be 5 months old tomorrow!!

...and on the eve of him turning 5 months...he found his toes!!!!

A special Happy Anniversary to my brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sarah today...they are celebrating 10 years together!!! :) I love you guys (if you are reading this!)

Midway Fall Festival!

This weekend was the Midway Fall Fesitval. I was very excited about it because last year I didn't get to make it since I was sick. It was very crowded and a little on the warm side, but we still managed to have a good time. Although it is definitely a challenge pushing a double stroller in a crowd!

In front of the army truck!

Thank goodness Colt fell asleep in the stroller...I would have roasted if I had to papoose him!

They had horse rides, jumpy things, games and crafts for the kids...but it all cost money- so we skipped out on those things. However Levi did get to ride this "train" :) He had to crank it with his hands, so it wasn't quite the easy relaxing train ride!

In front of Old Smokey- the steam engine. For the Derby, it carries people through Midway to Church Hill Downs....I'm guessing it's rich people that get to ride!

I ended up buying a few homemade crafts at the festival which was my highlight....I told Anthony that I felt guilty that he didn't buy anything....but he said he didn't care because....

...THIS was HIS highlight...meeting Andy Barr- who is the republican nominee running for the House this November. We got to meet him, his wife and his parents....very humble people. Mr. Barr even thanked Anthony for HIS service to his community when he found out he was a police officer! It was very cool and Anthony was very excited!

The Weekend is here!

Phase 1 of our Fall House Clean up is almost done....we borrowed a freinds power washer this past week and washed the front of the house and the sides as well as the driveway, porch and sidewalks...look at the crap that came off of our sidewalks! YUK!!! Stay tuned for some more pictures as we get more accomplished....my list is still long!

Anthony's new cruiser...

...it only had 23 miles on it when he picked it up....almost 38 by the time he got it home!

The next 3 pictures are just of Colt's outfits...somedays I take a picture of him just so I can say he wore an outfit...he is growing out of his sizes too fast!

Stay tuned for some fun pictures of the Midway Fall Festival :)

Meeting in Morehead!

On Monday, we met Anthony's dad and grandma in Morehead Kentucky....it's about the half way point from here and Huntington, so it worked out perfectly! We ate pizza at Mr. Gatti's and then found a park right across the street to hang out at for the rest of the evening! Even though it was only a few hours together, it was a very fun trip :) Thanks Ms. Carol for all of the clothes you sent for the boys!!!! They are awesome! Here's some pictures of our time together!

First Levi rode the dinosour...

...then Levi and Grandma...

...then PAPA!!!!!

Anthony and his Grandma!

My new favorite picture of Colt:)

The car ride there was terrible..Colt screaming the whole way....but it was worth it :) Speaking of him screaming...I hear him in his room waking up...gotta go!

The Boys!

I have a few minutes right now to post some new pictures. Anthony is at the dr's...both boys are asleep...and I'm taking a break from cleaning! This morning we got half of the house power washed and cleaned and I have a few of my windows cleaned....it is a project for sure! We have a lot more to go still!! Anthony gets a brand new 2010 cruiser tomorrow so he's very excited about that! Go figure-he gets it right after he just had his own cruiser inspected last week...he spent 6 hours cleaning the thing! Oh-well...he's still very excited :) I'll take some pictures of it when he gets it!

Colt's closing in on 5 months old (10 more days!)

The boys watching baby Einstein together..Levi is pointing out the trains to Colt!

They love it!

He's starting to like his jump up more and more!

Getting ready to paint a picture!

He said he was painting snakes!

Letting him play with the dry beans outside...not a very good idea!

He ended up using them as ammunition against me and Colt...

...he's gonna grow up such a tough kid because of what Levi puts him through!

Stay tuned- I have some great pictures of our time in Morehead, Kentucky!
